Racster was born from the hunt for records.
If you know the feeling of digging through crate after crate of old vinyl, looking past the obvious titles and hoping to find that one forgotten gem, you know what we mean. That's crate digging.
It's the thrill of finding something rare. The excitement of discovering a record you didn't know existed. The satisfaction of finding the perfect LP in a bargain bin, a record shop, a flea market or at a record fair.
Why we made Racster
We love record stores, vinyl fairs and the places where you can still discover something unexpected. But finding these places isn't always easy – especially when you're travelling. Racster was created to make it easier to find record stores, vinyl shops and record fairs wherever you are. And because the best crate digging often happens when you least expect it, Racster also helps you discover thrift stores, flea markets, vintage shops and other places where good finds might be hiding.
From crate diggers to everyone
You don't have to be a crate digger to use Racster. Maybe you're looking for a specific record. Maybe you're searching for a flea market on your weekend trip. Maybe you love vintage. Or maybe you simply want to see what's worth checking out in the area. Racster is for anyone who enjoys the hunt.
The places are out there
A good record store can lead to a great find. A flea market can lead to a forgotten classic. A small secondhand shop can lead somewhere completely unexpected. Racster helps you find the places. You never know what you'll find when you start looking.
