Racster was born from the hunt for records.
You probably know the feeling: flipping through crate after crate of old records, past the obvious titles, hoping to find the one you didn't know you were looking for. Most crates turn up nothing. But you keep going, because you never know when the right one will turn up.
That feeling is what Racster is built around. Not just for records – the same goes for a thrift store you've never been into, or a flea market you drive past every day without stopping.
Why we made Racster
We loved record shops and record fairs, but spent too much time looking for them instead of actually being there – especially when travelling, when you rarely know what's around the next corner. Racster started as an attempt to fix that, and naturally grew to also cover thrift stores, flea markets and the other places where you never quite know what you're walking into.
From vinyl nerds to everyone
You don't need to know the difference between a first pressing and a reissue to use Racster. Maybe you're after a specific record. Maybe you just need a flea market on the way. Maybe you just want to see what's worth stopping by next time you're in town. Racster is made for anyone who likes being a little surprised.
